How we handle information on this website, and the choices you have.

This Privacy Policy explains how Trexin Consulting ("Trexin," "we," "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you visit trexin.com and interact with us through the site. It covers this website only, not any separate Client engagement, which is governed by the agreement for that work.

Information we collect

Information you give us

When you contact us through the site, we collect what you submit: your name, work email, company, your message, and, optionally, how you heard about us. We use this only to respond to and follow up on your inquiry.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, we collect standard analytics about how visitors use the site, through Google Analytics (loaded via Google Tag Manager). This includes pages viewed, referring links, approximate location derived from IP address, and device and browser type. This data is collected with cookies and similar technologies, and helps us understand what is useful and improve the site.

Cookies and your choices

We use cookies for analytics. You can control or block cookies through your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics specifically with Google's opt-out browser add-on. Blocking cookies will not affect your ability to read the site.

How we use information

  • To respond to inquiries and provide the information or conversation you asked for.
  • To understand how the site is used and improve its content and performance.
  • To maintain the security and integrity of the site.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us operate the site: Google, for website analytics; and Microsoft, which processes contact-form submissions through Microsoft Azure and delivers them through Microsoft 365 to a Trexin mailbox we monitor. We also disclose information where required by law or to protect our rights.

Data retention

We keep contact-form submissions only as long as needed to respond to your inquiry and to support our ongoing business relationship with you. In practice we act on submissions promptly and move the relevant details into our regular business systems, so the original submission does not need to persist in the website's intake beyond that. Because contacting us is entirely your choice, and we collect nothing unless you submit the form, we do not set a fixed deletion date; we retain the information only as long as it stays useful for the purposes above. Analytics data is retained for 14 months, in line with our Google Analytics configuration (covering both event-level and user-level data).

Your rights

Depending on where you live in the United States, you may have some or all of the following rights regarding the personal information we hold about you:

  • Access: to know what personal information we have collected about you and how we use it.
  • Correction: to ask us to fix inaccurate personal information.
  • Deletion: to ask us to delete personal information we collected from you.
  • Portability: to receive a copy of the information you provided, in a portable format.
  • Opt out: to opt out of the sale of your personal information or its sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not sell your personal information or share it for advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of, but the right remains yours.
  • Non-discrimination: we will not treat you differently for exercising any of these rights.

We may need to verify your identity by confirming information that matches our records before we act, and we will respond within the time the applicable law requires. Where the law allows, you may use an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf, and if we decline a request you may have the right to appeal.

Security

We operate the way regulated industries expect, with security-first practices and SOC 2 Type II controls. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information appropriately.

Children's privacy

This site is intended for business audiences and is not directed to children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our practices or the law change. We will revise the effective date above when we do.
