Automating Document Processing & Data Workflows
Trexin managed a Microsoft Azure + UiPath document-automation pilot for a large health insurer, projected $1.2M in first-year savings at a success rate 12% above target.
Challenge
Providers and facilities fax millions of clinical documents to health insurers. A large insurer wanted to extend its existing UiPath automations with newer AI, piloting document processing on Microsoft Azure. Given Trexin’s track record delivering technology-enablement and RPA work, the director of their Intelligent Process Automation Lab asked us to manage development of the new Azure workflows.
Approach
We guided both the Client and their RPA vendor through the pilot. The headline goal was cost savings, but we helped the Client also use it to mature their AI capability, including adopting Azure Document Intelligence’s “self-learning” intelligent document processing, which gets more effective as it ingests more inputs. Our delivery experience and deep familiarity with the Client’s structure, conventions, and tools kept the work on track.
Outcome
- Projected $1.2M in first-year cost savings, with more expected in later years
- A success rate 12% above target
- Confirmation that Azure complements UiPath for cost efficiency and integration
- A path to migrate further automations to Azure and Power Automate
Why Trexin
We turned a cost-savings pilot into a durable capability, and left the Client able to extend it themselves.
