Driving Growth by Strategic Use of Data & Analytics
Trexin led a behavioral-health provider's enterprise Data & Analytics Strategy: a 3-year roadmap of 28 capability projects to support a goal of doubling the business in four years.
Challenge
The Chief Data & Analytics Officer of a large behavioral-health provider asked Trexin to lead a detailed Data & Analytics Strategy, building on a recently completed IT Strategy. With a business goal of doubling in size within four years, the driver was to transform the enterprise from a holding company of independently run clinics into a unified operating model with shared systems and data.
Approach
We applied our Strategy, Assessment & Roadmap (STAR) methodology: a three-phase, 10-week project with 30+ stakeholders, including most of the executive team. After interviews, we ran workshops to align on a future-state vision, mapping the strategy and its six tactical elements into capability needs across people, process, and technology. A gap analysis against current-state capabilities produced improvement projects, which were prioritized and sequenced into an investment roadmap with cost-benefit analysis tied to the growth goal.
Outcome
A comprehensive Data & Analytics Strategy expressed as a 3-year roadmap of 28 capability projects across 10 workstreams, organized into four investment categories. Year-one investments focused on mitigating current-state risk, moving to a modern cloud analytics platform, introducing foundational data governance and master data management, and beginning an end-to-end digital experience across the patient journey.
Why Trexin
We connect strategy to a fundable, sequenced plan, so “use data to grow” becomes a roadmap leadership can actually execute.
